Classic AOL You've Got Mail .wav

I was wandering around on the internet, and decided it would be fun to try and get a really old version of AOL running on my new Vista laptop. Well I never got one of those old version to work, but I did manage install one and all the wav files that came along with it. The one that brings back so many memories, GOTMAIL.WAV, well I had to keep that one. I now use it as my new mail notification sounds in Mozilla Thunderbird. Brings me joy every time I get a new piece of mail. Thanks AOL! You can download the .wav file Here

GOTMAIL.WAV has a lot of memories to, I was using mozilla at that time and GOTMAIL.WAV was the fastest email at that time . . . there were no big players like yahoo or gmail in the market and was regarded as the best email providers too.

Many, MANY thanks for this file. My late wife and I both had AOL mail many years ago, and basically got together through the old AOL dating service - so, this sound brings back many pleasant, but bittersweet memories. Blessings, and thank you again !!!!!

I camr here looking for a ref. for AOL, You've got mail. My instructor gave a huge lecture on student honesty. Some of my classmates used quotes without ref. So,she left a note ,"You've got mail", with NO reference. Teehee. I wanted to give her one and lecture her on the honesty when posting such a quote without using a proper,credible reference.
